Plant Based - The fibres in this fabric are plant-based, the base of the fibre is sourced from natural materials rather than being synthetically produced.

The Amara Dress is crafted from lustrous satin in a striking gold-to-black dip dye effect. The gradient is achieved through digital printing, a modern technique chosen for its ability to create rich, seamless colour transitions while significantly reducing water waste.

The silhouette flows with ease, defined by a plunging v-neckline, elongating maxi length, and fluid drape that moves with the body. The molten hues mimic desert sands and night skies, making this piece a bold expression, inspired by the lands it was dreamt of, with a contemporary femininity and a conscious design.

Our Satin Cupro, with its plant-based softness, closely mimics the luxurious feel of our 100% silk pieces but has a slightly denser texture. While we still suggest dry cleaning for best results, this fabric is more machine-wash friendly. If machine washing is necessary, we advise washing solo or with similar colors in a mesh wash bag, using a delicate wash cycle and gentle detergent.

Our digital print process starts in our own home studio, where co-owner Fumie spends time illustrating and water-painting our unique designs. These illustrations get handed over to our women-led printers to transform it into gorgeous pieces of wearable art. The digital dying process uses around 1 kg less CO2e per kg of fabric than other dying methods, due to minimal water usage, and drying techniques.
